Medelpharm celebrates success for STYL’One webinar on accelerated formulation development

Beynost, France: – Research-based manufacturer and powder compaction specialists Medelpharm received high enrolment and enthusiastic participation in their recent webinar ‘How to accelerate formulation development’.

The webinar, hosted online in partnership with Business Review last month, showed how Medelpharm’s STYL’One EVO and Nano tableting instruments could help research scientists accelerate early stage formulation development, scale-up and manufacturing.

High conversion rates

More than 420 professionals registered for the event, with almost 160 online for an average 51 minutes during the two hours duration, and almost 80 more viewing the webinar ‘on demand’ afterwards.

Altogether, Medelpharm estimates conversion rates of more than 60% on registration and greater than 50% for attendance.

Audience participation 

Sessions hosted by Medelpharm’s Business Development Pharmacist Bruno Leclercq and Product Marketing Manager Quentin Boulay also attracted lively participation with more than 45 questions posted in the webinar platform comments field.

The ‘Insights from the Science Lab’ presentations shared case study results  demonstrating how the STYL’One series can be used to overcome scientists’ day-to-day challenges in oral solid dosage form development.

Easier scale up

Issues addressed during the webinar included implementing quality by design (QbD) principles, developing formulations for easier scale-up and production and generating the robust data needed to guide decision making and satisfy regulators.

The case studies highlighted such issues as influence of particle morphology on tablet characteristics, dry granulation feasibility assessment, lubricant efficiency, comparisons of rotary press efficiency and best ways to use rotary press simulation, all drawing  on Medelpharm’s 15 years of experience in developing R&D tableting technology and STYL’One applications in industry and academia worldwide.
