MEDELPHARM brings further innovations to PBP2024 Meeting in Vienna

Beynost (Lyon), France: – Research-based manufacturer and powder compaction specialists MEDELPHARM will bring further innovations in tableting to Vienna for the major World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, PBP 2024, and the associated ResearchPharm Expo.

MEDELPHARM and its partner company KORSCH AG have both been consistent presences at PBP and ResearchPharm, and for 2024 will exhibit as a combined entity on Booth #32 at the ACV Expo Center in Vienna.

Live demonstrations

MEDELPHARM will highlight the versatility and advanced capabilities of its STYL’One compaction simulation instruments, and will perform live demonstrations of its STYL’One Nano benchtop compaction simulator.

The demos will be conducted by MEDELPHARM Formulation Scientist Dr. Delphine Ach-Hubert and KORSCH tableting process specialist Dr. Moritz Rosch.

MEDELPHARM Science Lab

The MEDELPHARM team in Vienna will also emphasize the role of MEDELPHARM Science Lab in advancing tableting method and process, and in helping customers with formulation and tableting challenges.

Dr. Ach-Hubert and fellow MEDELPHARM Science Lab scientists Adrien Pelloux and Sixtine Caquant have co-authored a technical study on using the Take-off sensor feature on the STYL’One Evo, combined with ANALIS software, to assess the potential for powders to stick during tableting.

Poster presentation

Their paper ‘Take-off sensor as a tool for sticking assessment during tablet development’ will be presented as a poster at the conference.

Dr. Ach-Hubert commented: “These combined events in Vienna provide us with great opportunities to showcase our technologies and lab services, exchange knowledge with the scientific community, including students and professors, and stay up-to-date on trending topics in the world of pharma research.”

About PBP 2024

The Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology (PBP) World Meeting has become a well-established pharma industry event, attracting scientists from all over the world.

The conference and companion expo provide a cross-disciplinary platform for pharmaceutical scientists working in all fields of drug product development in industry, academia and regulation.
