Sofrigam showing Initial Range at PHARM Connect Budapest
Press Release | Sofrigam S.A
FEBRUARY 15, 2017
Rueil-Malmaison, France: – Cool chain packaging specialist Sofrigam is returning to the important PHARM Connect Congress in Budapest as exhibitor and sponsor.
Sofrigam will use the congress to reach out to a core European audience of procurement, quality, logistics and cold chain decision makers from pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and biotech companies across Europe and the CIS.
It will demonstrate that its temperature-controlled solutions are cost efficient and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of client cold chain management by optimizing the quantities of products shipped and reducing transportation costs.
It will also show that its packaging solutions are highly effective, offering up to 120 hours duration, allowing products to reach any global destination, while complying with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines.
“PHARM Connect is the largest and the most important business congress for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in the Central Eastern Europe. As the leading provider of insulated shipping packaging solutions for life-science pharmaceutical products in Europe, Sofrigam is pleased to sponsor and attend this event to meet key decision makers of the cold chain logistics and supply chain management of biopharmaceutical products,” said Laetitia Perche, Sofrigam’s Marketing Director.
Sofrigam will exhibit its recently-introduced Initial Collection of cGDP ‘ready-to-ship’ pallet shippers, cold chain boxes and bags that offer modular cold chain solutions that are reliable and cost-efficient, optimizing TCO across global cold chain logistics chains.
“This range offers modular, compact and lightweight insulated packaging products with the best quality/price ratio,” commented Ms. Perche.
Reduced transportation costs
Each packaging box can be modulated for performance with switchable cold durations. Pre-qualified under AFNOR & ISTA standards, Initial Range packages can be shipped by air, road or sea, offering maximum payload within minimum weight to reduce transportation costs and cut preparation time.
“An internal study over a period of two months to compare the efficiency of our products with the packaging solutions offered by our competitors reveals that, given a comparable level of efficiency and a similar external size, our packaging offers 20% more payload and 30% less weight,” said Laetitia Perche.
“This is mainly due to the use of high added-value insulating materials in our products. Our study also demonstrated that, whereas our cold chain shipping systems are just as easy to load as equivalent competing products, our set of accessories ensures ease of handling and reduces preparation times,” she added.
