Waiblingen, Germany: – Advanced aseptic liquid filling and bottling specialist Rommelag Engineering is returning to America’s high prestige INTERPHEX Expo in New York City to exhibit its latest Blow Fill Seal (BFS) technologies. The company will be represented at INTERPHEX 2017 by its North American subsidiary Rommelag USA on stand 3516 at New York’s Javits Center.

“We attend INTERPHEX on a regular basis,” said Rommelag’s Marketing Director, Andreas Häussner.

“We find this to be a great event for networking, meeting our many existing customers and finding new business leads,” said Mr. Häussner.

Rommelag’s display will feature aspects of the highly capable bottelpack® 430 machine, which will appear in slimmed down form with one mold and without parison cut to demonstrate how the bp430’s completely encapsulated filling point is sealed within parison for isolation from surrounding environment.

High value aseptic filling

The bp430 is designed for efficient production of ampoules and other aseptic, high value, low volume, gas and temperature sensitive products from polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and other polymers. The system maximizes profitability with very low container costs and high machine availability.

The newly designed machine also offers simple and quick format change with fewer format parts. The modular concept allows physical separation between ‘dark side’ and ‘white side’ areas for maximum safety.

The 430 can be fitted with numerous options that include recirculation system for suspensions and emulsions, coolBFS for temperature sensitive applications and inert gas (e.g. nitrogen) production environment.

Disposable Fill System

The 430 can also be fitted with Rommelag’s Disposable Fill system (DFS) with sterile, pre-assembled disposable components and a peristaltic pump for small batch sizes and/or expensive fill products.

Precise and flexible dosing for various volume ranges from 0.1 to 30 ml with a greatly reduced minimum product quantity per filling batch. Disposable components greatly reduce the cleaning effort.

Rommelag’s DFS technology will also feature on the INTERPHEX IPS Aseptic Technologies Tour on Wednesday, March 22, for which it will provide a short presentation on its ‘Disposable Filling Option for bottelpack aseptic systems’.

Presence on the IPS Technologies Tour means that featured vendors have been vetted by subject matter experts as being best-in-class, having the newest or most innovative technology in the industry.
