Rommelag to present new digital vision for BFS at PharmaTechnica
Waiblingen, Germany: – Advanced aseptic liquid filling and packaging specialist Rommelag Engineering will use the upcoming PharmaTechnica online forum to lay out a future vision of blow-fill-seal (BFS) packaging that is digitally integrated across the pharma supply chain.
Bastian Schellzig, Area Sales Manager of the Rommelag Group, will be one of the speakers in the European Aseptic Conference section of PharmaTechnica, delivering a presentation ‘Blow-Fill-Seal-Technology Goes Digital’ on April 21st at 14:15.
Digital value creation
Mr. Schellzig will show how bottelpack technology and platform, already available as a hi-tech alternative to the conventional filling of liquids and semisolids, can be an integral part of a Pharma 4.0 approach to digital value creation for the industry.
Digitization offers opportunities for increased productivity through automated data processing and visualization and platform-independent integration of external software tools without risk.
“The benefit of the Rommelag Pharma Platform (RPP) occurs by gaining full visibility of all data created during the BFS-process at the bottelpack to enhance productivity, service and archiving for pharma processes,” Mr. Schellzig explains.
“With automated data processing, pharmaceutical manufacturers can improve machine availability and productivity and optimize the production process at the highest safety standards. They can also gain sustainable competitive advantages if this digital concept is well-integrated,” he explained.
Mr. Schellzig will be joined by Rommelag Area Sales Manager Joerg Bengelsdorf in representing the group at PharmaTechnica, connecting with visitors to Rommelag’s virtual booth at the conference.
Although PharmaTechnica is billed as a ‘once only’ event, this is a return to the conference for Rommelag, which was also a prominent presence at the 2020 online PharmaKongress that was the forerunner to this event.
“We always welcome opportunities to connect with the Pharma Industry and this Forum offers us a great platform to present our technologies and superb German engineering to a global audience,” said Joerg Bengelsdorf.
“We’re looking forward to online chats with visitors that can take place via our virtual exhibition page” he added.
