Rommelag brings media fill case study to online Pharma Congress 2020

Waiblingen, Germany: – Advanced aseptic liquid filling and bottling specialist Rommelag Engineering will share advanced insights on use of Blow-Fill Seal (BFS) technology for aseptic media filling at Germany’s Pharma Congress Online in mid-September.

The annual congress, originally scheduled for Dusseldorf in March, was postponed due to the coronavirus COVID-19 crisis and will now be held as a series of online presentations on September 15-16. A further day, September 17, will be dedicated to the Pharma Technica virtual exhibition where companies will present offers, products and technologies in live online forums.

Bottelpack aseptic fill

The COVID-19 pandemic has focused new attention on the potential of BFS aseptic fill technology to help meet the challenges of producing and delivering vaccines at unprecedented scale. Rommelag bottelpack platforms able to achieve high quality and high output cGMP aseptic liquid filling of vials and ampoules to comply with FDA and EMA standards.

Dr. Martin Haerer, of Rommelag’s CMO division  will contribute to the congress’s science sessions with a presentation of a case study on ‘Media Fill Design for aseptic Blow Fill Seal Filling’ that explains the general Media Fill concept, along with use of bracketing, intervention procedures and management of operator involvement and evaluation.

Rommelag will also use its Pharma Technica ‘virtual stand’ to showcase its latest bottelpack aseptic fill solutions and demonstrate to pharma production professionals, marketing managers, developers and plant supervisors how its Bottelpack and BFS technologies are highly applicable across a wide range of pharmaceutical and biotech applications.

These include aseptic filling, liquid filling, pharmaceutical containers, parenterals, ophthalmics, inhalations, ampoules, IV solutions and vaccines in pre-filled syringes.
