KORSCH America Plans INTERPHEX 2024 Launch for Innovative X 5 Tablet Press

Berlin, Germany: – Leading name in tablet compression technology KORSCH AG will give the groundbreaking X 5 Tablet Press its North American debut at the high prestige INTERPHEX pharma expo in New York City, on April 16-18, 2024.

Extending its 30-year association with INTERPHEX, KORSCH will also contribute to the conference agenda with insights on compaction simulation technology.

X 5: Raising the Benchmark

The highly advanced X 5 single sided tablet press will be the centerpiece of the KORSCH America exhibition stand at Booth 1519 at the Javits Center and will be featured in live demonstrations by the KORSCH team led by KORSCH America Chief Executive Officer, Frederick J. Murray.

The X 5 raises the benchmark for tablet press efficiency, with a significantly higher output capability than comparable machines on the same footprint. This is achieved by leveraging KORSCH’s trademark ergonomic fast-change design with a newly engineered segmented turret option featuring 54 TSM B punch stations for a 25% increase in machine output.

Multilayer Flexibility

KORSCH will present the X 5 MFP version which offers single-layer, bi-layer, and tri-layer tablet flexibility. Its sister version, the X 5 SFP, is engineered for high output, with its dedicated single-layer high speed capability. Both models share a common turret and interchangeable product contact parts for maximum efficiency and flexibility in high-speed, high-volume production environments.

Incorporating KORSCH’s latest innovations, the X 5 features an integrated electrical cabinet, torque drive, fully sealed design, and unsurpassed accessibility for cleaning, changeovers, and maintenance. Installation options include through-the-wall mounting.

Compaction Simulation Insights

The KORSCH stand will also feature the innovative STYL’One Evo Compaction Simulator from MEDELPHARM.  Acquired by KORSCH AG in 2022, MEDELPHARM’s range of compaction simulators is a perfect complement to the KORSCH industry leading R&D product line.

Application of compaction simulator technology will be the subject of a Day Three INTERPHEX Conference session as part of the Non-Sterile Product Development and Manufacturing track (April 18, 10:15 AM,  Stage 1), with KORSCH Innovation Center Manager Dr. James Stephens as a member of the panel.
