Karlsruhe, Germany – Integrated life sciences solutions provider Körber will once again be a prominent presence at the well-known Parenteral Drug Association Annual Meeting, held this year in historic New Orleans.

Körber is a close co-operation partner of PDA and a trusted supporter to the PDA and this year will contribute to the scientific and technical agenda for the conference, with a poster highlighting the role of its Commissioning, Qualification, & Validation (CQV) services in manufacturing and machine qualification.

Fast track qualification

Estefany Bentley, Process/Validation Engineer in C&Q, will present the poster ‘Clearing the path to successful validation: Overcoming challenges of transitioning to AVI with difficult-to-inspect products and novice end-users’ that shows how CQV can fast track new machines into full compliant production.

It features a case study showcasing how Körber helped one manufacturer overcome qualification hurdles when switching from manual to automatic visual inspection by providing outstanding expertise.

Towards Pharma 4.0

The poster will also show the benefits of Körber’s ‘ecosystem’ which features integrated solutions along the whole pharma value chain. With these unique ecosystem synergies as part of an overall mission Körber helps the industry to transition to Pharma 4.0 and optimize their production.

Ms. Bentley will explain how manufacturers can benefit from Körber’s unique agile approach to machine validation and qualification to significantly increase their efficiency and accelerate their time-to-production.

However, these are not yet all the contributions by Körber Pharma to the agenda of the PDA Annual Meeting. In addition, Thomas Zahel, Head of Innovation at Körber Pharma, will give a presentation on “Novel Algorithm to Identify Largest Design Spaces” and there will also be another poster regarding small lot production and how to increase their effectiveness. All these contributions help to drive forward relevant topics of the industry and the future of pharma 4.0.
