Karlsruhe, Germany – Integrated life sciences solutions provider Körber will once again be an active presence at the upcoming ISPE Pharma 4.0 and Annex 1 conference in Vienna, this year presenting its ‘ecosystem’ approach to pharma production.

The ecosystem describes Körber’s holistic approach to 21st century digitally integrated life sciences manufacturing that combines expertise from Körber Pharma Software and Körber Pharma Consulting, making use of these unique ecosystem synergies to add value for clients along their entire production lines and value chains.

Ecosystem explained

Jörg Erdmann, CEO of Körber explains: “What we have to offer all moves companies towards Pharma 4.0, operationally considered. We are the expert partner for all companies that want to take on their digital journey towards integration and digitalization to unlock the full potential of their businesses.”

As a co-chair of the ISPE Conference, Körber Executive Industry Advisor Christian Wölbeling will help to introduce the technical session on Day One, followed by his own industry review: “Where are we with Pharma 4.0?” (Wednesday, December 7, 0900 hrs).

Holistic process model

The conference will also hear from Körber Pharma Software Head of Innovation Thomas Zahel, who will present a vision for “Integrated Process Modelling for Quality 4.0: A holistic Control strategy from Process to Patient” during the afternoon session (Wednesday, December 7, 1345 hrs). Dr. Zahel will show that production process and clinical process development should be integrated since they both influence patient safety and outcomes. He will present an integrated process concept in which a surrogate model can be used to predict clinical outcome thereby linking process optimization and characterization to clinical outcome.

The Körber team in Vienna will be completed by Heike Röder who is also well recognised at ISPE as an active contributor.

The Körber table top display in the exhibition zone at the Vienna Marriott Hotel will host a video presentation showing how Körber Line Optimizer augmented reality solution can be used to digitize a production line, benefiting from Pharma 4.0 by using mixed reality and increasing process efficiency by up to 30 per cent.
