enGenes brings hi-tech biological production leadership to BioProcess International Vienna

news-releasesenGenes Biotech GmbH
March 30th 2026

Vienna, Austria: – High-yield end-to-end bioprocessing specialist CDMO enGenes Biotech will be present at the upcoming BioProcess International (BPI) European conference in Vienna in late April 2026.

enGenes Business Development Manager Ophelia Gevaert will represent enGenes at the conference to communicate the CDMO’s distinctive offers, technologies and capabilities in high end production of  recombinant proteins, plasmid DNA, vaccines, antibodies, and peptides.

Proprietary platforms

Ms. Gevaert will also be able to show the benefits of proprietary enGenes technology platforms for advanced biomolecule production. These include:

  • enGenes -eXpress™ as an optimized solution for the cost-effective production of recombinant protein and plasmid DNA in microbial expression systems
  • enGenes -eXcess™ for enhanced yield decoupled recombinant proteins production in coli
  • enGenes -eXchange™ for antibiotic-free and resistance marker-free manufacturing of recombinant proteins and high-quality plasmid DNA
  • enGenes -eXrase™ next-generation recombinant endonuclease for powerful DNA/RNA digestion at a fraction of the cost of traditional market enzymes
  • enGenes -eXcite™ as a cutting-edge technology that further supports continuous manufacturing of biomolecules in coli by enabling high yields and scalability from a very small footprint

Continuous bioprocessing breakthrough

Ophelia will also be able to point to the significant progress enGenes has made towards developing a truly continuous and enhanced sustainability biotech production process, thanks to learnings gained through its participation in the pioneering ECOnti project that combined advanced production methods with leveraged high end IT predictive control and conducting detailed economic modelling.

The project’s success also owed much to enGenes expertise in optimizing yields in end-to-end biomolecule manufacturing processes such as, in this instance, engineering a  new strain of  Escherichia  coli  optimized for continuous manufacturing.

Ophelia Gevaert will be available for consultations through the Informa ConnectMe app, as well as across the 12 hours of networking provided during the conference. She is accepting online bookings now for the event (see Resources).
