enGenes Biotech Joins NorthX Biologics at World Vaccine Congress Europe 2026
Vienna, Austria: – Save the date and join enGenes Biotech at World Vaccine Congress Europe 2026, taking place from October 19 to 21 in Amsterdam. The recombinant proteins and plasmid DNA specialist CDMO returns to the show, joining the stand of its partner NorthX Biologics, the Swedish GMP CDMO.
enGenes will be available for meetings throughout the event via the official networking app.
A Joint Path from Gene to GMP
At the heart of this year’s presence is enGenes’ partnership with NorthX Biologics, offering an integrated microbial biologics development pathway that takes a project from gene to GMP without the usual handover gap between strain development and clinical-phase manufacturing. The collaboration combines enGenes’ proprietary E. coli strain and expression-system engineering with NorthX Biologics’ process development, scale-up and GMP manufacturing capabilities, closing a disconnect that has typically added three to six months onto development timelines.
NorthX Biologics CTO Ola Tuvesson will present “From Innovation to Impact: Translating Next-Generation Vaccine Technologies into Clinical Reality” on October 21 at 10:30 in the Bioprocess & Manufacturing track (Track 2).
Meeting Biotechs Building Their Own E. coli Process
World Vaccine Congress Europe brings together exactly the audience enGenes is looking for – early-stage and clinical-stage biotechs seeking high-soluble-yield, low-cost E. coli production processes for their target molecules, and mRNA, AAV, lentivirus and DNA vaccine manufacturers who need high-yield plasmid DNA and would rather run that process in-house than continue buying material. enGenes will also be looking for potential licensees and partners for its E. coli platforms, and buyers for its wider product portfolio and services.
Representing enGenes in Amsterdam will be Patrick Stargardt, CTO.
About enGenes Biotech
enGenes Biotech is an Austrian biotechnology company developing advanced microbial expression technologies for the production of recombinant proteins, peptides, and plasmid DNA.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Vienna, enGenes has built a portfolio of proprietary E. coli-based platform technologies that enable high-performance recombinant production, extracellular secretion, continuous biomanufacturing, and scalable bioprocessing. These technologies help biotechnology companies overcome production bottlenecks, improve process economics, and accelerate product development.
Leveraging its technology platform, enGenes provides bioprocess development and manufacturing services spanning strain engineering, upstream and downstream process development, and contract manufacturing. In parallel, the company is expanding a portfolio of recombinant bioprocessing products, including affinity ligands and nucleases that support next-generation biomanufacturing workflows.
enGenes serves customers across biopharma, diagnostics, industrial biotechnology, food technology, and synthetic biology worldwide.
