enGenes Biotech to make CPHI debut in Barcelona
Vienna, Austria: – Recombinant proteins specialist CDMO enGenes Biotech GmbH (enGenes) will attend Europe’s leading pharma industry event, the CPHI 2023 trade expo, this year in Barcelona, to promote its advanced proprietary high yield expression technologies.
On its first appearance at CPHI, enGenes will attend as a visitor, sending a team led by its CEO and co-founder Dr. Jürgen Mairhofer to take part in networking activities.
Leading edge protein expression
Dr. Mairhofer commented: “Our priorities at CPHI Barcelona will be market research and meeting prospective new clients and partners. This is a huge event and there will be many biotech industry decision makers, who will be highly interested in our enGenes-eX-press technology, a growth decoupled and E. coli-based expressions platform.
“Over the three days of the show we hope to fit in many face-to-face discussions,” said Dr. Mairhofer.

“Apart from the outstanding yields we are able to achieve with our expression platforms, we will also be able to reveal some of the progress we are making as part of the ECOnti consortium towards continuous biomolecule production in E. coli for reduced footprint microbial manufacturing,” he added.
“In this project we are developing an accelerated manufacturing platform for continuous production of biotech products with low ecological footprint that features fully automated continuous upstream and downstream processes,” Dr. Mairhofer noted.
