Lindau, Germany: – Laboratory engineering specialist DORNIER LabTech Systems GmbH (DORNIER LTS) is returning to Microbiology and Infection 2017, the 5th Joint Conference of Germany’s DGHM & VAAM microbiology associations.

DORNIER LTS will be among some 60 companies exhibiting at the conference.

The DORNIER LTS booth at Wurzburg’s CCW exhibition center will showcase the upgraded PIRO® liquid handling robot. Live on-stand demonstrations will show PIRO’s new hardware and software features, along with its capabilities to perform intelligent pipetting from database including optimized sequences, through matrix import or vol. import.

Full traceability

PIRO´s supervision of all pipetting steps and pipetted volumes now provides full traceability for all fields in research and diagnostic applications

Dr. Rudolf Walser, DORNIER LTS Director of Applications with be at the booth and will also host an evening “come together” reception from 1830 hrs on Tuesday, March 7, Day Three of the conference.

“We have been a regular attender at this conference since it was first established in Munich in 2000,” said Dr. Walser.

Affordable package

“I’m looking forward to this chance to meet up with our many customers in the field of microbiology and introducing them to our latest developments,” he added.

“More than ever, we’ll be able to show how PIRO offers high end pipetting quality combined with perfect ease of use in a package that is affordable for all molecular biology labs,” said Dr. Walser.

DORNIER LTS will also present added-value advantages such as high flexibility in choice of consumables, highly responsive customer service, low follow-up costs and service needs and open system architecture that can be adopted for future needs.”

About Microbiology and Infection 2017

The Microbiology and Infection conference is organized by the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology (DGHM) and the Association for General and Applied Microbiology (VAAM) as the joint conference of the two largest German societies in the field of microbiology. The event was founded in Munich in 2000, established to recognize the increasingly close relationship between both associations as well as the growing number of collaborations within microbiology. Since then it has become a semi-regular event with the previous joint conference held in Dresden in 2014.

The 5th Annual Microbiology and Infection conference is a four day event opening March 5 at the Congress Centrum (CCW) and Maritim Hotel in Würzburg.

Organizers are expecting some 1,500 delegates to attend the conference with more than 1,000 scientific abstracts submitted for discussion.
