Dec Group to highlight revolutionary SafeDock® system at ACHEMA Pulse live online event

Ecublens, Switzerland: – Dec Group (Dec) will be a prominent exhibitor and program contributor at the online ACHEMA Pulse event for the pharmaceutical process industry, taking place throughout this month.

Dec has a long-established connection with DECHEMA organized events and was hoping to take part in the full ACHEMA 2021 trade fair originally scheduled for this month, but now postponed until April 2022.

Live presenter

Dec has now decided to participate in the replacement ACHEMA Pulse instead, which will also feature live presentations, but streamed online as well as available on demand.

It will have a constant online presence at ACHEMA Pulse for networking and one to one online chats throughout the month of June (see Resources) and will make four contributions to the two Live Days, June 15 and June 16, where presentations and discussions are live streamed from three stages at a studio in Frankfurt-am-Main.

Revolutionary SafeDock®

On June 15, starting at 0815hrs CEST (UT+2), Dec Group Technical Manager Stefan Genz will deliver a  Product Presentation in Exhibitor Channel 12 on SafeDock® connection as the new standard for fast and safe docking operations when filling or discharging big bags.

Dec has patents pending on the revolutionary SafeDock® system that allows very fast and easy docking operation while maintaining high containment. The system consists of a single ‘dead zone’ free docking tube, closed by automated cover. A side port featuring a continuous liner system is used to remove the inliner. A flexible single-use ring seals the big bag spout. This ring can then be easily removed with the remaining liner through the side port while maintaining containment and isolation. Another advantage of SafeDock® is that it needs no external power source.

High containment and aseptic filling

Later in ACHEMA Live Day 1, Dec Group Director of Micronization and Containment Technology Andrew Lemaire will discuss Large Scale High Containment Micronizing Plant design and solutions during the 45-minute plant design exhibitor workshop commencing 1645 hrs.

Day two emphasizes aseptic fill-finish solutions with the second workshop starting 0830 hrs “HighFlex – Aseptic Filling Line for Powder and Liquids into Various Delivery Systems and towards the end of Day Two, Dec Group Managing Director Frederic Dietrich will be presenting solutions for Aseptic Filling of Powder and Liquids into Dual Chamber Syringes as part of an Exhibitor Panel discussion on aseptic filling line design.

About ACHEMA Pulse 2021

DECHEMA (German Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) is a non-profit organization based in Frankfurt representing chemists, biotechnologists, and engineers. It hosts the ACHEMA trade fair every three years in Frankfurt as a leading World Forum for the Chemical Engineering  and Process Industries.

The 35^th ACHEMA congress, originally scheduled for June 2021, has been postponed to April 2022, because of a resurgence of COVID-19 infections in Germany. In its place, ACHEMA Pulse will offer an online forum to be held online over a full month, from May 31 to June 30.

The centerpiece of Pulse will be two ‘Live Days’ of presentations and debate streamed from three stages in a Frankfurt studio on June 15 and 16, with a programme structured into three distinct strands: chemistry, plant engineering, laboratory and pharmaceutical production.
