Dec Group inaugurates new assembly facility for India
Ecublens, Switzerland: – World leading materials handling and end-to-end process solutions provider Dec Group has inaugurated a purpose-built Indian assembly facility at Ankleshwar, in Gujarat State, north of Mumbai.
The new facility is the creation of the DecBectochem Engineering joint venture formed in 2020 that united Dec India with the Containment Division of Bectochem, one of India’s leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical process equipment. The partnership strengthens Dec Group’s presence in the Indian market and allows it to offer top-tier Swiss technologies to regional pharma manufacturers.
Introducing new technologies to India
“With Bectochem Containment Division’s expertise in customized containment solutions and 20 years of experience, we were able to expand our operations and introduce new technologies in powder milling, blending, and handling in India and parts of Asia,” Dec Group commented.
Dec Group Managing Director Yves Dietrich travelled from Switzerland to attend the inauguration ceremony and personally cut the ribbon, marking the facility as officially opened for operations.
The new assembly facility joins the existing DecBectochem manufacturing division in Ankleshwar, along with engineering and corporate offices, located in Mumbai and Baroda.
Significant milestone
“The opening of the new facility represents yet another significant milestone in our journey to deliver international quality products to our valued customers in India and the adjacent region. We are excited to uphold our commitment to excellence,” said Gabriela Mikhaiel, Marketing and Communication Manger at the group’s headquarters in Switzerland.
The state-of-the-art facility has been meticulously designed to optimize and streamline the assembly processes to ensure that every DecBectochem product meets the highest quality standards.
