Dec Group bring new technology insights to Continuous Processing Summit
Ecublens, Switzerland: – Dec Group is presenting outstanding new capabilities in continuous manufacturing (CM) during the upcoming Commercializing Continuous Processing (CCP) Summit conference in Boston.
The Dec team at the conference will exhibit the group’s fast expanding capabilities and technologies in CM as part of the tabletop exhibition zone and will take part in the more than six hours of networking sessions that form part of the event.
Shift to continuous crystallization
Dec Group member Alconbury Weston (AWL), a UK based leader in continuous processing technologies, including reaction, crystallization and filtration/drying equipment, will also contribute to the scientific agenda with an oral presentation from its senior scientist Dr. Simon Coleman on ‘Solving the multiple challenges of continuous filtration, washing and drying of APIs’.
Dr. Coleman will present a Lab to Production case study that details experimental work carried out at centers of excellence including Strathclyde and Purdue Universities, including investigation of the solvent mass in the drying gas outlet stream using mass spectrometry to enable online monitoring of the continuous drying process.
The presentation will also describe transition from lab-scale experiments through to development of a working AWL cGMP production-scale Crystallizer Filter Dryer System that can continuously process even small molecule substances.

First hosted in 2016, the Commercializing Continuous Processing Summit (CCP) has become one of the world’s foremost events in the rapidly maturing technology of continuous manufacturing (CM) in pharma and biotech.
The event’s mission is to provide a one stop shop for knowledge sharing in implementation and commercialization of CM.
