The Swiss specialist Hapa develops individual in-house packaging print solutions with which manufacturers can produce small batches flexibly and economically. One of its most recent developments is the Blow Fill Seal Printing Unit (BFS Printing Unit), for the direct printing of BFS containers.

With its new BFS Printing Unit, Hapa offers a complete solution for the direct printing of BFS containers – a clever and economical alternative to costly embossing or labelling. At the center of the solution is an integrated Hapa redcube, a compact printing module that prints with UV DOD inks. The redcube is ideal of coding, marking and the direct printing on products, with print results besting those of traditional coding and marking systems. Its integrated UV-LED drying unit, ensures that printed material is available immediately for further inline processing. A further key component of the BFS Printing Unit is the upstream/downstream vacuum-transport conveyor belt that ensures a highly accurate print control.

Flexible and Extendable

The flexible BFS Printing Unit can process products of various sizes, is easily integrated into existing packaging systems, and can be adapted to meet a Track & Trace solution. The unit offers a simple data management system, and convenient access for service and maintenance. Options include acorona treatment system, a camera system for print quality control, a reject station, as well as a second redcube printing module for two-color printing.
