SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ is the business unit of Ontario-based ATS Corporation tasked with the development, manufacture, and marketing of an innovative magnetic conveyance platform that enables the implementation of more cost-effective, space saving assembly automation systems across a wide range of industrial applications, including medtech and aseptic fill and finish.

The SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ platform has been under development for more than 20 years, constantly focused on continuous improvement of manufacturing automation. Its most important advantage is that a superior conveyance platform benefits almost every aspect of an assembly or handling system, from cycle times to station tooling, having greater impact than any other single component on operations, processes, and infrastructure.

The principle that guides development is that focusing on conveyance as a foundation transforms how automation system can be implemented. To that end, the SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ platform is designed as a solution that offers an unmatched combination of powerful features easily configured with intuitive and user-friendly software tools.

SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ delivers higher performance and leaner automation in three basic ways:

Speed: high speed component placement, low settling times, and rapid acceleration acting in concert to reduce overall cycle times and boost overall productivity.

Precision: More precise component placement allows leaner automation by replacing conventional stop and locate tooling, reducing engineering effort and the operational burden of maintaining complex tooling, thus simplifying the design and operations of the final assembly system.

Independent Shuttle Control: enabling more cost-effective and space-saving assembly designs by avoiding duplication of parallel stations, using offsets instead of duplicating tooling, reducing buffer size, and optimizing the use of every process station.

SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ solutions

Now in its third generation, the SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ platform is offered in three versions optimized to diverse assembly applications for custom manufacturing, including in the fields of life sciences, medtech, and pharmaceutical products.

• SuperTrak HORIZON10^™: a horizontally orientated base system targeting industrial and life science applications that can carry items weighing up to 10kg per independently controlled shuttle and that is optimized for ease of integration, use, and maintenance. The high weight-lifting capability, combined up to 40m/s² acceleration and +01mm motion precision, allows more compact and versatile assembly systems with less repetitive tooling for leaner manufacturing.
• SuperTrak VERTICAL10^™: A vertically oriented asynchronous system with 10kg capability that allows more compact installations that are particularly useful in cleanroom manufacturing environments.
• SuperTrak PHARMA8^™: An easy clean stainless-steel system that can handle shuttle loads up to 8.5kg and that enables implementation of even more compact installations to support aseptic fill & finish, high potency material handling and other operations typically carried out under isolation and in Grade A aseptic environments. The system is designed for clean and sterilize in place (CIP/SIP) operations with easily wiped down surfaces and compatible with vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP) decontamination to meet FDA and EMA requirements.

All these systems can be controlled using the SuperTrak Trakmaster^™ software that reduces the cost and complexity of assembly systems by allowing independent programming and control of a wide variety of asynchronous motion operations, including integrated operations, function blocks, process simulations and diagnostic tools.

After Market Support

The SuperTrak CONVEYANCE^™ product portfolio is supported by added value services that focus on execution of customer requirements, ensuring that systems are delivered on-time and perform as expected. These include training and tutoring via the SuperTrak Academy^™, Design & Integration advice, and conveyor assembly assistance.

After sales technical support extends from on-site installation to remote technical support, all delivered from a dedicated global network. The aim here is assist customers in turning concepts into reality by understanding specific requirements, working in collaboration to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes, and identifying opportunity areas to optimize system and design.
