VIO Biosynth rebranded as Biosynth

Staad, Switzerland: – Complex chemical raw material specialist manufacturer and developer Biosynth AG marks the final phase of its incorporation of VIO Chemicals into the group with a brand migration exercise.

The re-branding of VIO Biosynth to Biosynth took full effect on May 1, following the Zurich-based specialist chemical supplier’s acquisition by the Biosynth Group at the end of 2023. This means that the former VIO Biosynth will now be known as Biosynth AG for all purposes, including financial transactions and online identities.

Strengthened capabilities

The merger has strengthened the company by adding a Zurich office and increasing the reach of its leading chemical R&D expertise with connection to a global network of large-scale manufacturing partners.

The branding change aligns the company’s operations with the rest of Biosynth and allows shared customers to access reliable, sustainable, and flexible manufacturing solutions at any production scale, further expanding Biosynth’s leading expertise across carbohydrates, nucleosides, intermediates, and specialty excipients, among others.

As part of the name change, the VIO Biosynth customers will transact under Biosynth AG. Details of implications for partners and partners are detailed in a specially prepared FAQs page (see Resources).
