Tablet Friability Testing

Tablet friability testing is recognised by all over by the pharmaceutical sector as a means to determine the resistance of uncoated tablets to the abrasion and shock experienced during the manufacturing, packaging and shipping processes. FR and FRV models are easy to operate and are in full accordance with the specifications set by the EP – Chapter 2.9.7 and USP Chapter <1216>.
Tablet Friability Testing
The standard FR model employed for tablet friability testing operates at a constant speed of 25 rpm. The FR 1000 has one test drum and the FRV 2000 has two test drums. The duration of the test and revolutions of the drum can be selected. The FR 1000 has a speed of 25 rpm (+/-) and the FR 2000 has a variable speed of between 20-60 rpm (+/-). Both the FR 1000 and FRV 2000 have interchangeable drums and drop distance of 156mm.
