Tablet Disintegration Testing

DisiTest 50 is an ideal machine for tablet disintegration testing. DisiTest 50 automatically determines the disintegration time of tablets and capsules in complete accordance with current Pharmacopeia. This method of tablet disintegration testing does not require an operator to visually monitor the disintegration process. The DisiTest 50 employs induction heating technology which decreases heating times to only 3-5 minutes and eradicates unproductive cleaning times normally associated with conventional water bath based systems. The DisiTest 50 enables very accurate and consistent temperature control since the heating process takes place directly inside the beaker rather than applying heat to the exterior. Test medium temperature is observed continuously through the use of a contact-free infrared sensor and recorded for reporting purposes.

From test setup through to cleaning, the DisiTest raises the benchmark in regards to fast and ergonomic control. The wireless baskets used with this machine have self-centering magnetic coupling which can be easily replaced within seconds while cleaning is hassle-free. The robust baskets are sealed and safeguarded from erosion to enable a long product life. The user can effortlessly initiate a test from a simple to use color touch screen. A report is automatically printed once a test has been completed. Next to test medium temperature and disintegration time are automatically recorded in addition to the beaker filling level, type of test medium and the serial number of the basket used. The DisiTest 50 has a modular machine concept which facilitates the extension from a single station tester to a completely automatic system with up to 4 independent stations.
