    October 1st 2024

Rüschlikon, Zürich: – Fine chemicals and pharmaceutical process automation specialist System Technik AG (SYSTAG) will make its debut at the Automated Synthesis Forum (ASF) in the UK, which is an influential event for accelerating research in the field of synthetic chemistry.

SYSTAG will be an exhibitor at the conference venue in Oxford, UK, with a stand hosting live demonstrations of its FlexyCUBE & ePAT solutions for laboratory and scale up synthesis automation.

    Chemical synthesis expertise

These innovative systems, along with SYSTAG FlexyPlant plant control systems, are designed to provide easy scale up in F&E for chemical engineering process optimization and thermal process safety and to make laboratory processes more reliable, economical and safer.

The SYSTAG team at ASF 2024 will be headed by Head of Products & Support Mike Mandlehr, who has a varied background in chemical process development with more than 20 years’ experience in process automation, calorimetry and thermal analysis. He heads a team that advises SYSTAG customers about all aspects of increasing efficiency, reproducibility and data recording as well as thermal process.

    Knowledge sharing

Mr. Mandlehr commented: “Some of our customers have drawn our attention to the fact that this forum could be a suitable platform for presenting our products and services relating to automation in synthesis.”

We look forward to hearing from a number of key speakers who deal with this topic and we hope to be able to network with some key decision-makers in this field,” he added.

    About Automated Synthesis Forum 2024

The Automated Synthesis Forum (formerly the UKASF), is an annual conference, organised in a not-for-profit basis by a cross-section of scientists from the industrial and academic community. The conference focuses on cutting-edge, enabling technologies that expedite real-world research in the synthetic chemistry arena, both post- and pre-commercialization.

Founded in 1996 by Dr. Nick Hird, formerly of SmithKline Beecham, as a discussion group focused on developing automated processes within combinatorial chemistry, the Forum now includes developments in analytical equipment, automated synthesis process improvements, emerging technologies and robotics. Recent themes have included flow chemistry, photochemistry & electrochemistry, as well as developments in lab automation.

The meeting now attracts representatives from most major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as an increasing number of academic institutions.

The 2024 Automated Synthesis Forum will be a two-day event, opening November 11 at the Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa, near the historic UK university city. Plenary speakers will include Prof. Connor Coley of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Prof. Timothy Noël from University of Amsterdam, and Cambridge University’s Prof. Matthew Gaunt. The co-located equipment exhibition provides a platform for manufacturers and vendors aligned to the meeting themes.

The event is organized by ASF with further details at: https://automatedsynthesisforum.com/
