Rotronic’s HygroFlex 5 series of humidity and temperature transmitters occupy an essential place in the range of laboratory humidity tools.
Combining the functions of hygrometer, thermometer and data transmitter, these laboratory humidity transmitters combine industry-leading levels of precision, accuracy and functionality.
Design and Features
All HF5 Series laboratory humidity transmitters incorporate recent advances in sensor technology and integration. Any HF5 Series transmitter can be paired with the wide variety of relative humidity and temperature probes in the Rotronic portfolio.
The HygroFlex HF52, HF53, HF54, HF55 and HF56 humidity transmitters are all compatible with HygroClip2 probes The HF5 can transform the digital signal from a HC2 probe to an analogue signal for further relay, networking and application.
HF5 also incorporates integrated AirChip3000 technology that allows HC2-S probes to achieve an unprecedented degree of accuracy, down to under 0.8 per cent relative humidity (rh) and also in temperature measurement, to accuracy of less than < 0.1 K at 23 °C.
Applications and features
The Rotronic HF5 series measure relative humidity and temperature and calculate all psychrometric parameters. These laboratory humidity and temperature tools perform vital functions in the fields of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and HVAC.
HF5 versions are available with local display or no without display for remote monitoring.
Horizontal or vertical mount versions are available for wall and duct mounting and can be supplied with metal housing.

AirChip3000’s ‘smart’ features also allow probes to be calibrated and digitally adjusted independently from the transmitter, drastically reducing ‘down time’ required for annual calibration.
The HC2 probe is easily calibrated in the HygroGen2, placing the probe adjacent to transmitter for calibration or calibrating probe in situ using an extension cable. Additionally the HC2 probe can be setup as a simulator in order to calibrate the transmitter loop.
