Procos raises Eurasian profile at CPhI Istanbul

Cameri, Italy: – Established Italian contract manufacturer (CMO) Procos will use the upcoming CPhI Istanbul Expo to bring its expanding capabilities to the emerging Turkish and Near Eastern market.

Procos is about to roll out its new 4000 m2 working space workshop, scheduled for completion in Autumn 2015 as a central element in its overall investment and growth strategy, focusing on its principle markets in North America, Europe and Japan as well as ‘pharmarging’ markets in the Near and Far East.

The Procos exhibition at Stand A131E at the ICC Istanbul Congress Center will feature presentations of the company’s sophisticated new facilities, as well as details of its generics contract manufacturing and custom synthesis capabilities.

The new Cameri facility will enable a one third expansion in manufacturing capacity, up to 450m3, as well as new technology platforms to enable more innovative and creative solutions for demanding markets like oncology.

Turkish presence

Procos is already a presence in Turkey and is looking to raise its profile further in pharmaceutical markets that are growing apace, leveraging from proximity to Eastern Europe, Near East and North Africa, as well as links into North American and Japanese markets.

Kingo Yamashita, head of Procos’ Sales & Marketing Division, and Clara Usanna (Sales Manager) will lead the team in at CPhI Istanbul.

“This is first time that Procos will be an exhibitor at CPhI Istanbul in our own right,” observed Mr. Yamashita.

“We consider Turkey as one of our key emerging markets. There are some existing projects already, but we would intend to invest more effort into this market.

“Our appearance in Istanbul underlines our strong presence in the Eurasian market,” he added.

“Our combined team there will have interesting offers from our bolstered generic APIs pipeline as well as the new synthesis capabilities we are acquiring from our new workshop,” said Mr. Yamashita.
