Presenting EPM Thermal Loop Vision at CHEMUK Birmingham

St. Louis, Missouri, USA: – World-leading advanced thermal management solutions provider Watlow® will be a prominent presence as exhibitor and conference contributor at the upcoming CHEMUK 2025 Expo in Birmingham, UK.

The Watlow® and Eurotherm stand at Booth N40 of the NEC National Exhibition Center outside Birmingham will form part of the Expo’s Process and Chemical Engineering Show Zone. Stand displays will showcase a wide range of precision control, advanced heater, sensor, and high integrity data management products that provide comprehensive thermal solutions for the chemical industry.

Thermal Loop Vision

A centerpiece of the Eurotherm by Watlow® display will be its newly developed Edge Process Management (EPM) platform, which will be a game changer in controls technology as part of an integrated ‘thermal loop’ strategy.

Watlow thermal loop connects heaters, sensors, controllers, power management systems and data recorders in a unified approach to enable real-time data processing and machine learning capabilities, optimizing thermal processes, and allowing users to respond instantly to changes, reducing energy consumption, and improving overall product quality.

Accelerating decarbonization

The full thermal loop vision will be explained in greater detail in a Day Two presentation on the main ‘Chemical & Process Engineering stage; ‘Transforming Thermal Processes: The Impact of Innovative Electrification in Chemistry to Achieve Higher Efficiency and Yield in Chemical and Petrochemicals’ by Watlow Global Power Applications Manager Grégoire Quéré (Thurs May 22, 1320 -1335 hrs. PM Stage 4).

Mr. Quéré will show how electrification is the most effective solution for decarbonizing process heating equipment and that this transformation can be accelerated through Power Control of the full thermal loop, with a special focus on matching thermal management to process needs. He will include comparisons with non-electric process heaters, as well as between the different electric process heater solutions, to illustrate the controllability, efficiency and sustainability benefits that can be released.
