LUBRISANAQ® is supplied as an almost white powder designed to be added to tablet and capsule powder formulations at concentrations of between 0.25 and 3.0 % w/w. Its specifications comply with sodium stearyl fumarate as defined in various international pharmacopeias, including  Ph. Eur., USP-NF Ph. Eur., and USP-NF, and with an IR spectrum matching reference standard.

The excipient is practically insoluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, and practically insoluble in acetone or ethanol.
