One-stop-shop wastewater treatment service benefits pharma company

Rossdorf, Germany: – Water treatment specialist EnviroChemie GmbH has introduced a one-stop-shop solution for wastewater management that allows companies to benefit from total outsourcing.

The effectiveness of the solution is demonstrated by the experience of a German pharmaceutical manufacturer that appointed EnviroChemie to take over full operation of its wastewater treatment at the start of 2025.

Adding simplicity

Before the takeover, the client had needed to maintain constant contact with as many as four different service providers to operate the system. Now this has become simplified to a single interface with just one partner for all tasks related to water treatment.

Digital WaterExpert

At the heart of the wastewater treatment is a neutralization system that treats 155,000 m³ of wastewater treatment per year. Trained experts from EnviroChemie support the system with process technology and operate it on site using the digital service platform WaterExpert.

The production management includes aspects such as hazard analysis, a 24/7 on-call service, spare parts management, support with reporting, work on the pump station in the infeed, optimizing fill level measurement, and inspections.

This allows EnviroChemie to ensure that the wastewater treatment operates reliably and maintains adherence to the required limit values Meanwhile the pharmaceutical company is left  free to concentrate fully on the production processes without distractions.
