Driving Efficiency and Quality in Pharmaceutical Analysis with DoE

nuvalore Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Anamarija Ćurić will speak at the Technopharm Forum (Day Two, Hall 10.0, Booth 10-356, 12:30 – 13:00 CET) on “Strategic Path to Success: DoE in Pharmaceutical Analytics.”

Dr. Ćurić will explain how Design of Experiments (DoE) has become an essential tool for efficient and reliable pharmaceutical analysis, particularly in biologics. She will outline an Analytical Quality by Design (AQbD) 90-day workflow, demonstrating how DoE helps define and optimize Critical Method Parameters (CMPs). By enabling researchers to examine multiple factors simultaneously with fewer experiments, using full or fractional factorial approach to creates robust design spaces, accelerates development, and improves data quality.

Dr. Ćurić will also share case studies, including a Ligand-Binding Assay optimized with DoE that delivered 133 assays with zero failures, and an imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF) study that reduced the number of experiments needed to optimize a monoclonal antibody in half. These examples illustrate how integrating DoE within an AQbD framework, supported by ICH Q14 and Q2(R2) guidelines, delivers robust, cost-effective analytical solutions for pharmaceutical development.
