Täby, Sweden: – Nordic Biosite, the leading Scandinavian supplier of validated biotechnology products, will take a prominent place as sponsor and exhibitor at the upcoming Norwegian Biochemical Society Contact Meeting (NBS 2015) in Svalbard.

The Nordic BioSite team on the company’s exhibition stand will be exhibiting some key new products from Zymo Research, including the recently developed TerraLyzer™.

Taking the lab to the field

This will be the first European appearance for the latest version of TerraLyzer, which is an innovative device that can be used to lyse microbes in soil, sediment, sludge, and fecal samples and can effectively process tough-to-lyse fungal, algal, plant, and animal tissues over a very wide range of operating temperatures.

Zymo Research developed the TerraLyzer as a cordless, hand-held electric drive unit mounted to a unique, proprietary lysis chamber. It can be used for vigorous sample disruption (bead beating) that allows the researcher to “Take the Lab to the Field” and to the site of sample collection.
