Nordic BioSite celebrating 20th Anniversary

Nordic BioSite was founded in Stockholm in 1997 by a team that included Yvonne Zar, who currently leads the company as its CEO.

Two decades of achievement

Ms. Zar is profiled in a recent issue of Corporate Vision magazine, where she reflects on what Nordic BioSite has achieved over the past two decades.

“I, alongside my colleagues, have been on a journey with this firm. It has taken time and energy and we are looking forward to continued success,” Yvonne Zar tells the magazine.

Optimized antibodies

A large part of that success will lie in the further development of its flagship range of its Optibodies™ optimized antibodies, specifically enhanced to provide best staining in immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications.

Optibodies stand at the apex of a Nordic BioSite range that now numbers more than two million products. Their success is built on core strengths in combining product development with scientific research through its companion BioSiteHisto laboratory; along with a distinctive focus on ensuring its entire people have solid scientific expertise.

Online offers

A further theme of Nordic BioSite’s success has been continuous development of its online portal for sales. The Nordic BioSite website is now hosting a range of ingenious special offers to mark the company’s 20th.

Customers can subscribe to a special calendar that celebrates each year of the company’s existence with historic scientific milestones and a different special offer.

The year 1997 was used as a vehicle for a 25% reduction on all ELISA testing kits while 1998 hosts a 20% discount across the range of all Nordic BioSite microbiomics products associated with that year’s Nobel Prize-winning discovery of signaling molecules in the cardiovascular system.
