Stockholm, Sweden: – Leading life sciences IT provider, Formpipe, will use the upcoming Global Pharmaceutical Contract Manufacturing summit in London to show how electronic quality management systems (eQMS) can revolutionize efficiency, risk management and business processes for the industry.

Formpipe, which is a sponsor of the eighth GCPM Event and a leading exhibitor, will also field its Business Development Manager, Jacob Mathew, as a featured speaker, talking on Day One, June 17th.

Mr. Mathew will show how eQMS systems can play a powerful role in transforming the ways in which CMOs ensure regulatory and standards compliance, improve their efficiencies by reducing cost while accelerating production and construct an electronically managed total approach to capitalizing on quality assurance.

Avoiding huge costs

“Quality that is poor, or just poorly-perceived, can incur huge costs for contract manufacturers,” said Mr. Mathew.

“Quite apart from warranty issues, recalls and potential litigation, there are the business losses that stem from negative marketplace perception,” he explained.

“I hope to show in my address how electronic quality management can revolutionize the process of ensuring the compliance with quality standards that is critical to successfully exceeding customer expectations by managing risk, providing early warning of problems, documenting SOPs and best practice, supporting change control and auditing compliance performance,” said Mr. Matthew.

Win-win

“Just as important, these new systems can transform speed and efficiency by providing closed-loop change management, speeding up corrective and preventive actions, and providing real time trends, along with data on cycle times and costs.”

“For everyone involved, this is a win-win situation,” said Mr. Mathew.

“For the CMO, eQMS ultimately improves efficiencies and boosts production. For the customer, the new systems enable the contract manufacturer to eliminate what is effectively the customer’s capital investment in potentially underutilized production capacity, eliminating long lead-times to build and validate a cGMP manufacturing facility.”

This is Formpipe’s first appearance at the GPCM event.

“Making such a high profile entry to the GPCM meeting, as sponsor, exhibitor and keynote speaker shows how valuable this community is to our business, and how important we believe our Platina EQMS system can be to the businesses represented here,” said Mr. Mathew.

“We will be demonstrating Platina’s amazing capabilities at our booth in the exhibition centre – just look for the white and purple sign!” said Mr. Matthew.
