Clinical Research Services Turku CRST, specialist in early phases of clinical drug development and Turku PET Centre, one of the leading PET centres in the world have together published a list of over 40 tracers available for clinical research. The tracers are available for clinical research in areas such as CNS, cardiovascular diseases and oncology.

Dr. Mika Scheinin, M.D, Director of CRST and Professor of Pharmacology said “We are happy to publish this list and make our colleagues more aware of the possibilities to use PET imaging as a tool for early ‘go’ or ‘no go’ decisions, for earlier proof of concept, to reduce the risk of late-phase failure. In the long run, this is a cost-efficient technique in clinical drug development”.

He continues “One of our strengths is that we have a wide network of clinical experts representing various therapy areas within the University of Turku and Turku University Hospital. These experts represent a valuable resource when we want to reach different patient populations. Collaboration with Turku PET Centre gives us direct access to the latest scientific PET imaging expertise and technological applications, which further improves our possibilities to help our Pharma customers obtain valuable information about their products”.
