ARTES adds direct reagent sales for laboratories
Langenfeld, Germany: –Specialist in microbial process development and technology transfer for the pharmaceutical industry, ARTES Biotechnology GmbH (ARTES), has added a new business stream, selling high quality functional reagents direct to research laboratories.
The new ‘made with ARTES’ research product catalog encompasses a broad range of authentic animal-free antigen serotypes, enzymes and functional research grade protein free of peptide-tags and modifications.
Leveraging ARTES technology
ARTES Business Development Director Dr. Melanie Piontek commented: “We have moved to meet the pharma industry demand for greater material support for research laboratories engaged in diagnostic and vaccine research and biotechnology in general. These teams need reliable, responsive and good value EU-sourced supply of dependable reagents.”
The ARTES offer provides labs with HBsAG and HPV antigens in the form of non-infective virus-like particles resembling the native virus serotype conformation, along with Endoglycosidase H, Inorganic Pyrophosphatase, and T7 RNA Polymerase recombinant enzymes and the functional protein Brazzein. A further product, Human Serum Albumin, will be added to the line shortly.
“Our ‘Made with ARTES’ strapline refers to the ways in which we can take advantage of our high-efficiency ARTES technology platform to produce authentic products that are tag- and virus-free, do not incorporate animal components, and that can be offered at attractive prices to the industry and to academic institutions,” Dr. Piontek explained.
