Press Release | Dividella AG
APRIL 08, 2014
Grabs, Switzerland: –Parenteral packaging specialist Dividella AG will stage live demonstrations of its new generation toploader cartoning system NeoTOP x (NT x) when it makes its world debut at May’s interpack 2014 Trade Fair in Düsseldorf. The demonstrations will offer dramatic proof of how NT x allows ‘instant’ format changes.
The Dividella stand, A25 in Hall 16, will also feature the ultra compact syringe carton that has gained AmeriStar and WorldStar awards, along with a wide range of other NeoTOP packaging samples.
NT x provides an enhanced, flexible and modular platform that can be configured for a wide variety of cardboard packaging and features a host of innovative features including:
- Extensive feeding solutions for syringes, vials, pens, injectors, inhalers, needles, blisters and sachets
- The Wide Format that enables packaging of single units or multi-packs on one machine
- Quick format changes, requiring no tools, in less than 20 minutes
- Digitalized‘handwheels’ with position feedback for easy format changes, high process reliability
- NextGen automation system
- HMI with intuitive graphical user interface
- Small, easy to handle format parts
Low cost leader
Dividella CEO Stefan Knellwolf says the new system lowers Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Cost of Package (TCP) to industry-leading levels in the 30 to 50 package-per-minute capacity range.
“We are confident that when interpack visitors see NeoTOP x in action, they will realize that Dividella has become THE address to visit when looking for sustainable, low TCO and TCP savings when choosing a cartoning system for parenteral products,” said Mr. Knellwolf.
Prefilled syringe stars
Another NeoTOP machine, the 804 topload cartoner, provided the power behind the award-winning 10-count flu vaccine prefilled syringe carton that Dividella will also showcase in Düsseldorf. Co-designed with Sanofi Pasteur, the package was judged a winner of a WorldStar Medical & Pharmaceutical award in Barcelona in November 2013, following its previous triumph at the AmeriStar awards in April.
The 10-count carton, also shortlisted for the WorldStar Sustainability Award, features 100 per cent recyclable paperboard, eliminating pre-made plastics. This has saved client Sanofi Pasteurmore than $1m annually. Additionally, halving pack volume has led to corresponding savings in cold-chain shipping and storage costs, while the NeoTOP 804 has quadrupled output to 80 cartons/800 syringes per minute, doubling Overall Equipment Effectiveness to more than 70 per cent.
Dividella will attend the formal Awards Ceremony at Interpack on May 13th, also to find out whether it has won the gold, silver or bronze WorldStar Sustainability award.
