Novo Nordisk Pharmatech shares insights at CPhI online Festival of Pharma

Koege, Denmark: – World-leading pharmaceutical grade quaternary ammonium compounds (Quats) specialist Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S will maintain its longstanding relationship with the CPhI pharmaceutical ingredients show despite the COVID-19 emergency by taking part in next month’s virtual CPhI Festival of Pharma.

Novo Nordisk Pharmatech will also be a Platinum Sponsor of the online event, sponsoring a keynote COVID-19 focus exploring lessons to be learned from the pandemic and their potential impacts on EU pharmaceutical policy.

Viral vaccine role

The session will be preceded by a presentation from Novo Nordisk Pharmatech Global Product Manager, Chantale Julien, who will explain how Quats (quaternary ammonium compounds) play  a key role as APIs and Excipients in a wide range of application, for example in the manufacture of viral vaccines with CTAB (Cetrimonium Bromide).

The company will also use the online event to share news and information about its world-leading range of pharma-grade Quats, produced to very high consistency cGMP and ICH Q7 standards and that can be used in a very wide range of other applications from antiseptic agents to diagnostic testing.

About CPhI Festival of Pharma 2020

Now in its 31^st year, CPhI Worldwide is the flagship annual trade show for pharma ingredients and partner sourcing.  CPhI Worldwide 2020 was originally planned as a three-day event opening October 13 at the Fiero Milano expo center in Milan, Italy, to include the co-located zoned exhibitions; ICSE Outsourcing, P-MEC Machinery and Equipment, FDF for finished dosage formulations, InnoPack for pharmaceutical packaging and events and the new BioProduction.

However, during June 2020, the CPhI events team from leading global B2B Events organizer and publisher Informa Markets decided that the global scale of the event combined with the social distancing required to combat COVID-19 required the postponement of CPhI Worldwide to autumn 2021.

To replace the Milan event, Informa will stage the 2020 CPhI Festival of Pharma as the world’s largest pharmaceutical virtual meeting, using online technologies to create a networking platform that will combine the world’s leading pharma companies, eminent speakers and extensive networking opportunities.

The Festival will open on October 5 and will run for ten days.
