Cerbios-Pharma showcased its Pharmaceutical Services Portfolio at CPhI Worldwide

Lugano, Switzerland: – Cerbios-Pharma SA (Cerbios) successfully took part at CPhI Worldwide recently held in Milan and online.

The event resulted in an opportunity to resume a face to face relationship with the customers, after more than one year of virtual meetings and events.

The words from Hippocrate “If there is love for man, there will also be love for science”, were selected as closure banner for the event and perfectly summarize Cerbios philosophy which is applied in all the different fields covered by the company (Generic APIs, CDMO services and Probiotic FDF portfolio).

CDMO Services

Cerbios introduced its participation to CPhI through a communication issued at the end of October and focused on Einstein phrase “Everything Should Be Made as Simple as Possible, But Not Simpler” which perfectly represents the company mindness.

ProveoTM (a division of Cerbios dedicated to Antibody Drug Conjugates) is an eminent example of how Cerbios aims to simplify its partners’ lives. The purpose of ProveoTM is to streamline the supply chain of all ADC components from payload and antibody to conjugation and fill and finish, all provided under the same organization. This one-to-one partnership means a saving in both cost and time.

Cerbios also offers services for HPAPIs and the approval of a new plant by Swissmedic in June 2021 is the latest addition to the company capabilities. This new production line is dedicated to non-cytotoxic highly active products with containment allowing OEL up to 30 ng/m3 and a manufacturing capacity of up to 35 kg batch size. The new plant is yet another step forward in Cerbios aim to provide support for its partners from clinical up to commercial scale for HPAPIs, optimize project timelines, and retain the process expertise acquired in the development stage. The Company’s “never stop” attitude towards meeting customer requirements is also represented by the new cytotoxic line (200gr-2kgs), which is under construction and due to be finalized within the next 12-18 months.

Probiotic FDF portfolio

Cerbios featured Hippocrates’ maxim “All diseases start in the intestine” as base for the launch of its new Food Supplements line.

For more than 40 years, Cerbios has been manufacturing and commercializing its proprietary strain E. faecium SF68^® as a pharmaceutical drug for the treatment of diarrhea and dysbiosis.

With the efficacy and safety of the product supported by more than 20 clinical trials, Cerbios has continued over the years to characterize its strain and its use on various metabolic processes, strengthened further by association of vitamins and other ingredients.

Based on new scientific evidence, predictive of innovative therapeutic applications over the gut, Cerbios has combined its strain SF68^® with vitamins, minerals, and other functional ingredients for a synergistic effect, developing cutting edge formulations backed by preclinical and clinical studies. These include two clinically proven food supplements that are ready to be out-licensed in international markets:

• SF68^® ACNE: probiotic and niacin for the management of acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
• SF68^® IMMUNO: probiotic, vitamins, and minerals to support the immune system. In vitro and in vivo data support the product’s efficacy on some respiratory viruses as well.

The above mentioned Products are ready to be out-licensed on exclusive basis for its Customers, in different markets. Cerbios will continue to diversify its portfolio of FDF in near future, with innovative products in different therapeutic areas.
