Brevetti Angela presenting innovative BFS syringe solution to Vaccine World Forum in India

Vicenza, Italy: – Leading manufacturer of high technology pharma packaging machinery, Brevetti Angela Srl, will use the 2024 Vaccine World Forum at Pune in India to unveil a highly innovative prefilled syringe that can be manufactured using its SYFPAC^® Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) systems.

Collaborative effort

The story of the new syringe’s development and its main features will be the subject of a presentation to the Forum by Brevetti Angela’s Sales, Marketing, and R&D Director, Eng. Rajeev Kabbur, who will address Day One of the conference in the first Sponsor slot (April 25, 1410 hrs.).

Mr. Kabbur will detail how the development was a collaborative effort between Brevetti Angela and its sister company 3CK, which markets a range of innovative O-Flow prefillable syringes. A leading pharmaceutical company and vaccine manufacturer has also been involved in the program.

Major advance

The single use syringe has been designed to be very easy to use and inexpensive to produce. It represents a significant advance from the usual world of prefilled syringes in being able to be aseptically formed and filled using BFS platforms such as Brevetti Angela’s SYFPAC^® range.

Mr. Kabbur will also explain how the new syringe, which is now in the late development stage, is a combination device that significantly improves on previous BFS compatible injectable systems and represents a major enabler for mass vaccination campaigns.
