BioGenes working for greater German-Japanese co-operation in biologics at BioJapan Expo

Berlin, Germany: – Leading force in host cell protein (HCP) assay development, BioGenes GmbH, will be returning to the upcoming 20th BioJapan Expo and networking event in Yokohama to foster greater co-operation with Japanese partners.

BioGenes will be an exhibitor at the event with its stand at D35-06 within the German Pavilion showcasing its complete panel of products and services for companies involved in drug development, testing and quality control of biologics and biosimilars.

Marketing and Sales Manager, Dr. Marieke Mohr, will represent BioGenes at the BioJapan expo.

HCP and PK testing

The BioGenes display will highlight its recent advances in its host cell protein (HCP) kits and ELISA testing services and their applications in quality control of biological production. Offerings include custom antibody development (pAbs, mAbs, anti-IDs), custom ELISA development and kit production, HCP assays and analytical services.

BioGenes will also highlight its recently developed enhanced immunogenicity and pharmacokinetic (PK) testing tools and services, encompassing custom development of immunogenicity- and PK assays and corresponding antibodies.

New synergies

“This is the second time we have attended BioJapan, after our initial appearance in 2017,” noted Dr. Mohr.

“We are returning because this has proved a fine platform for fostering business contacts and partners in the Asian market, especially in Japan,” she added.

“I am particularly looking forward to speaking at the lunch sponsored by the German Export Initiative on Day Two on ‘Developing shared solutions! How German-Japanese cooperation can achieve potential synergy effect’, said Dr. Mohr.

“I hope to show how there are some very promising areas for partnership and joint enterprise in the fields of development and testing of new therapeutics, biologics and biosimilars,” she concluded.
