B Medical Systems video shows hi-tech end-to-end COVID-19 vaccine roll out infrastructure

Luxembourg:– The latest video posting from B Medical Systems, the Luxembourg-based pioneer in the medical equipment industry, shows how it created an end-to-end temperature controlled cold chain system for the Grand Duchy of Luxemborg’s COVID-19 vaccine roll out.

The system involving real-time monitored ultra-low freezers, vaccine refrigerators, vaccine freezers and transport boxes, draws on B Medical Systems’ experience from previous large-scale vaccination programs for different infectious diseases around the world.

B Medical Systems’ Ultra-Low Freezers ensured that the central vaccine storage hub had enough storage capacity to safely store all the mRNA vaccine doses received which needed to be maintained at ultra-low temperatures. Moreover, the Vaccine Refrigerators and Freezers ensured that the country was equipped to handle the storage of vaccines at 2°C-8°C and -20°C. Finally, the company’s Transport Boxes ensured that doses could be safely transported within the country.

The remote monitoring solution put in place an extra level of security for the safe storage of all doses. This, combined with the effort of all the healthcare workers involved in the immunisation program, has ensured zero wastage of vaccines.
