B Medical Systems Blood Bank Refrigerators

B Medical Systems offers a range of Blood Bank Refrigerators designed to safely store blood and blood components samples at temperatures ranging from 2°C to 6°C. These products are all Class II(a)/Class II medical devices as certified respectively by the EU MDR and US FDA, and are focused on meeting the medical cold chain requirements of blood transfusion services, processing centers, blood banks, and hospitals face when handling blood, plasma, or other blood components.

As well as being classified as medical devices, B Medical Systems’ Blood Bank Refrigerators also meet the reference standards of the AABB SCoPE and comply with DIN 58371 or DIN58375 and Önorm K 2030 quality standards.

B Medical Systems offers a range of Blood Bank Refrigerators ranging in storage capacity from 45L to 773L. All models deliver high performances in terms of temperature uniformity and energy consumptions, while also supporting remote monitoring capabilities. The product range offers two lines with different features: the Precision and the Premium line.

Precision Line

The Precision line units are all made off single rotomoulded polypropylene cabinets that enable a lifetime warranty against corrosion, offer high impact resistance, and also allows the interiors to be easily cleaned due to the cabinet’s smooth surfaces. Moreover, the Precision models use a polyurethane foam that, together with the sealed gaskets and the 4-layer organic glass windows on the door, provides strong thermal insulation and a reduced cold air loss.

The Precision line features a forced air-cooling system for uniform and stable temperature distribution, a fast temperature recovery even in case of frequent door openings, a safety thermostat preventing temperatures to reach below freezing levels, and an extended autonomy in case of power failure.

These models also use the R600a natural refrigerant to lower the models’ environmental impact and increase their high cooling efficiency in conformity with US SNAP and EU F-Gas regulations.

Moreover, B Medical Systems’ Blood Bank Refrigerator Precision Line also includes a hybrid refrigerator and plasma freezer, the BF 261. This model offers two twin 106 L (3.74 cu ft) storage compartments with the upper one maintaining +4⁰ C set temperature, while the lower one acts as a freezer compartment with the temperature set at -32⁰ C. Both compartments are lockable and can be controlled via separate touch panels easily operable with gloved hands.

Premium Line

Premium Line units all feature high-quality stainless-steel cabinets with antibacterial coating offering easy hygiene control and highly modular interior equipment. Moreover, the Premium models use a polyurethane foam which, together with the sealed gaskets and the five-layer organic glass windows on the door, provide strong thermal insulation, reduces cold air loss and extends autonomy in case of power failure.

The Premium line features a controlled air-cooling system for uniform and stable temperature distribution and fast temperature recovery, even in case of frequent door openings. A safety thermostat prevents temperatures dropping below freezing levels.

All Premium line units feature a 7” touch screen for easy access to the product’s controls, NFC card access for enhanced sample security, and an SN/T classification certifying the ability of these products to be able to be employed in areas of the world with an ambient temperature of up to +43°C.
