ATS Life Sciences Energy & Emissions Module
Cambridge, Canada: – ATS Life Sciences Systems can now offer an Energy and Emissions Module that allows pharma, biotech and medical devices companies to navigate more easily through increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
The Energy and Emissions Module can be added to the ATS Life Sciences ILLUMINATE™ Manufacturing Intelligence software platform to provide users with one-click ‘live’ visibility on their facility’s manufacturing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
The Energy and Emissions Monitoring module makes it easier for manufacturers to mitigate the environmental impact of their various processes by providing granular real-time data on the environmental impacts of each aspect of manufacturing operations. It can monitor single stations, machine zones, or total automation systems.
Features include an Energy Dashboard to measure pneumatic and electrical energy consumption, over any time period, a Carbon Footprint Dashboard showing CO2 emissions at part, machine and factory level, along with a Measurement Log that shows machine spikes and deviations in active energy, frequency, voltage, and power.
A further useful capability is being able to configure and edit C02 coefficients to match the detailed requirements of a particular operating country or region.
ATS points out that adding the Energy and Emissions Module to ILLUMINATE™ can produce several sustainability benefits, including a granular level picture of C02 emissions across the factory floor, clear identification of emission trends over short to long term timescales, reduced cost and easier sharing of emissions data for ESG and other reporting.
