Hamburg, Germany: – Innovative north German oncology manufacturer AqVida has partnered with UK-based cleanrooms specialist MRC.

The partnership will offer total solutions based on MRC’s world-leading GRP cleanroom paneling systems, combined with AqVida’s highly advanced production and process expertise. It will include modular construction solutions enhanced by implementation support and consultancy optimized to Pharma and Biopharma applications.

Rollout in Stuttgart: Pharma Lounges 2016

The service will be rolled out when MRC attends the ‘Pharma Lounges’ on Cleanroom and Pharmaceutical Process Technology in Stuttgart on 5th of April – 07th of April, where AqVida founder and CEO, Wolfgang Heinze, will join the MRC team at Booth G1.4.

“Our shared vision of premium quality, innovation and reliability mean MRC and AqVida have created a formidable partnership to supply German based pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities with the MRC GRP cleanroom paneling system, along with local installation and support,” said Mr. Heinze.

Working Partnership

The partnership was born from AqVida’s choice of MRC technologically advanced panel systems to fit out the advanced production areas at its new highly automated Dassow oncology drugs and ADC manufacturing facility.

“As part of our uncompromising approach on redefining state of the art in injectable drug manufacturing at Dassow, we chose MRC as the world’s leading developers of premium cleanroom panels. The extraordinary quality of these panels is a perfect fit for a facility which is ultra-modern and fulfills AqVida´s expectations on product and patient safety,” said Mr. Heinze.

Optimized cleanroom design

“It was the only cleanroom panel we found that could be repaired in situ, which is extremely resistant and allowed us to optimize every single detail in our design. We are extremely happy to cooperate with MRC going forward,” he added.

The AqVida Dassow plant is on schedule to begin operations at the end of 2016, introducing highly advanced robotic and isolator-based ‘zero loss’ aseptic filling technologies that represent a breakthrough for the oncology and biotech sectors.

AqVida is using latest techniques for designing equipment and processes to support product and patient safety. These include coordinated process optimization and comprehensive control technologies along with a refrigeration system optimized to correspond with technical loads.

About MRC

MRC is a British founded company offering uniquec cleanroom products and turnkey solutions to international clients from offices and sales agents around the world. Over 35 years, MRC has developed products driven by its corporate vision; to help its clients innovate, improve and grow.

It developed the MRC GRP cleanroom paneling system specifically to solve environmental, management and maintenance issues shared between pharmaceuticals, aerospace, micro-electronics, healthcare, renewable energy, military and other high-end engineering industries.

Purpose designed by cleanroom experts, for cleanroom applications, MRC’s renowned GRP panelling system has redefined the state-of-the-art for advanced cleanroom surface systems. The panels’ unique GRP formulation and specification provide an impervious smooth surface that is inherently strong, resistant to damage and chemical attack without relying on thin surface coating to provide the required cleanroom surface finish. The panel system enables the designer and user to achieve ideal airflow movements while allowing flexibility in provision of service points. Modular construction promotes layout flexibility; re-usability; speed of construction and cost-effectiveness. It also avoids the maintenance problems often associated with metallic and phenolic cleanroom panel alternatives.

To ensure offerings that are precisely adapted to purpose, MRC’s design and implementation is closely aligned with specific manufacturing and process requirements for individual clients, offering controlled environment solutions from design phase through to fabrication, installation, validation and commissioning.
