Cryo Store optimises its temperature-controlled packaging with a range of different materials to meet different customer needs and scenarios. The choice of material will depend on factors that include: temperature requirements, content, destination, transit time and product size.

Cryo Store offers three principal temperature controlled packaging solutions:

EPS
Expandable PolyStyrene (EPS) boxes are widely used for shipping temperature-controlled goods, combining excellent isolation properties with low weight. EPS can be recycled easily and Cry Store can collect used boxes.

Cryo Store offers a range of different size production moulds to provide a wide selection of box sizes and types; competitively priced and readily available for quick delivery. Cryo Store EPC boxes comply with UN3373 Category B biological substance standards.

Matching carton outer boxes are available, with company logo printed as an option.

BioFoam
BioFoam® is the latest innovation in packaging materials: a fully biologically degradable hard foam offering similar insulation properties and ease of use as EPS. BioFoam® is cradle-to-cradle (C2C) certified and can be disposed as normal waste.

BioFoam® has been awarded with various national and international innovation awards. Cryo Store works closely with the manufacturer to further develop and optimize the use of BioFoam® as suitable UN3373-compliant packaging solution for temperature controlled shipping of biological materials.

TCP
TCP (Temperature Controlled Packaging) is a special type of inert mineral felt, sandwiched in thin polyester film lining, and packed in cardboard boxes. TCP is supplied in fold-flat cartons that take up minimal storage space and are easy to unfold and set up for loading and shipment.

TCP packaging is the solution for shipping multiple products or components at different temperatures in one box, greatly reducing shipping costs and is produced from recyclable minerals and is environmentally friendly.

Cryo Store is able to design TCP cartons to meet detailed customer specifications, even down to individual boxes and are available in various standard sizes from as 10cm cubes through to pallet size. The TCP palletshipper is a highly price competitive solution for trans-global bulk shipments.

Other Services
Cryo Store can design, test and perform validation in house and supply turnkey packaging materials. Cryo Store can also perform testing on your own packaging solutions or systems.

Cryo Store can also supply cooling gel packs and cool bricks in various sizes as well as carbon dioxide dry ice for frozen consignments.

For guaranteed product quality, all packaging solutions are extensively tested to international ISTA guidelines and customer specific requirements.
