Micro-Macinazione presents new technology and capacity on AAPS debut

Molinazzo di Monteggio, Switzerland: – Europe’s leading micronization experts and particle size specialists, Micro-Macinazione (Mic-Mac), will present exciting new products and capabilities at next month’s AAPS Annual Meeting in San Diego, California.
This will be Micro-Macinazione’s debutat this high prestige event, opening on November 2.
Jet milling advance
Mic-Mac will present a poster about its jet MCA technology, an innovative jet-milling solution for improving bioavailability of poorly water-soluble compounds in Class II Biopharmaceutics Classification System.
Head of Business Development, Giovanna Libralon and R&D senior scientist, Dr. Salvatore Mercuri, will represent the micronization specialist in San Diego.
“This will be our first time at AAPS, which we consider will provide us with a great opportunity to make Mic-Mac known for our research and innovation in developing advanced jet mill solutions,” said Ms. Libralon.
“We believe in innovative technological solutions in jet milling, increasing our reputation on the market about our expertise and knowledge,” commented R&D Director Piero Iamartino.
“We also want to meet existing and potential partners to talk about the progress in our efforts in establishing R&D activities, and the new R&D lab that we hope to bring online early in the New Year,” added Mr. Iamartino.
Fast response lab
The new laboratories are designed to provide exceptionally fast turnaround in performing non-GMP proving work, according to Director Iamartino.

The 2014 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Meeting and Exposition will be held from November 2 to November 6 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
The AAPS Annual Meeting provides a dynamic international forum for the exchange of knowledge among scientists to enhance their contributions to public health. The meeting provides a prominent annual opportunity for scientists from various disciplines to meet their peers; discuss the latest research topics presented at contributed paper poster sessions; discuss projects with current and new suppliers.
The 2014 scientific program will use workshops to focus on a very wide range of topics, with more than 15 workshops scheduled over the five-day event.
