Medelpharm to launch Alix global development platform at AAPS PharmSci 360 in Texas

Beynost, France: – Research-based manufacturer and powder compaction specialist Medelpharm will launch Alix, its new global development platform, at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists annual meeting, AAPS PharmSci 360, in San Antonio, Texas.Medelpharm is a recognized presence at AAPS events, having attended the annual meeting every year since 2005. It will be on the corner booth 746 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, displaying its range of STYL’One tableting Instruments and software platforms designed for research and GMP in mind.

The main attractions on Medelpharm booth will be Alix and the STYL’One Nano R&D benchtop tablet press for formulation and research, which impressed at last year’s AAPS not only with its compact, mobile and remarkable design but its advanced capabilities.

For 2019, these are extended even further by the combination with Alix, Medelpharm’s new most powerful compaction software for your STYL’One.

Medelpharm will conduct live demos on stand to show how STYL’One Nano R&D benchtop tablet press and the Alix platform can work in tandem.

Alix is a new formulation development software platform that will orchestrate laboratory instruments, can perform fast and reliable studies (USP <1062< ready) and brings data integrity and flexibility by design.

“Alix gives researchers access to all data anywhere,” explained Medelpharm Software Project Manager and developer, Clément Pellizzari, a key member of the Alix development team.

“AAPS is one the leading events for pharmaceutical formulation scientists from all over the world,” and as such the right stage to launch Alix, said M. Pellizzari.

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists recently adopted AAPS PharmSci 360 the format for its annual meeting, designed to combine the energy of a large conference with the connectivity of a networking event.

AAPS PharmSci 2019 is a four-day event opening November 3 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, USA. The meeting features five scientific tracks covering all aspects of the pharmaceutical sciences.

Last year’s event in Washington D.C. attracted some 7,000 delegates from around the globe, along with more than 200 exhibitors.
