Dividella Feeding Systems and Services for the Pharmaceutical Industry
Feeding Systems
Dividella AG can provide a feeding system to match any pharmaceutical product or application. Dividella Feeding Systems combine high output with gentle product handling. A wide range of options and add-on components allow feeding systems to be specifically adapted to a broad spectrum of applications while meeting the specific requirements that often arise in the industry. Dividella systems and components can also be used to extend the functionality and capabilities of existing installations.
Dividella’s specialists can advise clients who need to expand their installations or optimise their packaging processes.
Dividella Feeding Technology
Dividella is able to apply a very wide range of feeding technologies to the basic challenge implicit in pharmaceutical applications: creating a gentle, flexible feeding system that protects fragile objects such as syringes, vials, pens, softblisters, etc.
Many years of experience in product handling have enabled Dividella to develop highly effective new modular feeding systems that can package up to 500 objects per feeding unit per minute. Before insertion, objects can be aligned, spread and individually checked.
Apart from the actual products, placing inserts can also present major challenges. The handling of inserts is a critical area, especially in the case of high-output machines such as the Dividella NeoTOP 804, which can produce up to 240 packs per minute. Dividella has developed a wide range of scalable feeding systems for this purpose. These allow, for example, very large, thick inserts to be fed in at full speed, using minimum labour.
In recent years, Dividella has used its particular expertise to develop many different customised feed systems, linked to upstream machines that are used in many different applications, field-tested and further developed to guarantee maximum operational reliability.
Modular Design
Dividella adopts a modular approach not only to their packaging machinery but to their feeding systems as well. In which the specific requirements of each product are analysed and a feed system optimised to those requirements. These modules include:
• Prefilled Syringe Inserter: syringes are delivered lying horizontally through a ‘puck’ system
• Booklet Insertion: booklets or prefolded leaflets are inserted into the package
• Pen Insertion: pens or Injectors are delivered standing upright using a puck system
• Syringes in trays: syringes are pre-loaded onto trays that are then delivered to the inserting station
• Ampoule Infeed: standing ampoules are delivered via a feeding table to the pick and place handling units
• Standing Vial Insertion: vials are inserted into the open carton via pick and place handling stations
This modular approach allows feeding systems to be quickly and easily adapted to purpose by inserting new modules onto the line, for example adding a syringe loading station to a vial packing line to meet a new market or regulatory requirement.
Standard Products
Dividella standard products include:
• Vial and ampoule feeding systems placing the products upright or laying at an output of up to 800 items/minute
• Syringe feeding systems for cylindrical syringes at outputs of up to 200 syringes/minute
• High-speed syringe feeding systems for all types of syringes with or without back-stop and safety device, at outputs of up to 400 items/minute
• Blister feeding systems for all types of products in blisters, i.e. syringe- or pen needles, needle cups, blistered swabs, or any product coming from a blister machine
