Espoo, Finland: – Leading European research-based life sciences manufacturer Orion Corporation today announced it had once again been invited to attend the exclusive PHARM Connect conference in Budapest next February.

The high-level Orion delegation will bring details of key new capabilities and product ranges. The team’s aim is to increase awareness of Orion’s advanced contract manufacturing capabilities, including formulation and filling, liquids, tablets and packaging.

New hormonal capacity

Orion’s contract manufacturing capacity has received a significant boost with the recent completion of a strategically important extension to its manufacturing facilities at Turku on Finland’s southwest coast to focus on Orion’s specialty hormonal semi-solids, gels and solutions.

PHARM Connect provides a key networkingopportunity for Orion and its partners, with the chance to meet face to face to discuss latest technologies and new collaborations.

Networking opportunities

The Orion show team also intends to take full advantage of the PHARM Connect program of pre-scheduled one-to-one business meetings and informal networking activities to extend its business relationships across Europe.

Orion’s President and CEO, Timo Lappalainen, said the Corporation’s presence at the ‘invitation only’ Pharm connect conference underlined the group’s status as one of Europe’s leading pharmaceutical industry forces.

“The fact that our fellow companies wanted Orion to be present in Budapest emphasizes how much they value our expertise and capabilities – and how much they want the chance to meet us face-to-face,” said Mr. Lappalainen.

About PHARM connect

The annual PHARM connect congress is Central Europe’s largest and most important pharmaceutical and biotechnology business summit for the CIS region.

The event is hosted each February, in the Hungarian capital Budapest and this year will be staged 25-26 February at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal.

The first PHARM connect congress was held in 2011. Since then, the event has grown exponentially, now attracting more than 500 delegates representing some 20 countries. Unusually, PHARM Connect operates on an ‘invitation only’ basis, guaranteeing a more exclusive level of delegate representation. Each solution provider at PHARM Connect is selected based on requirements and interests provided by attending pharmaceutical professionals prior to the event.

The two day event provides a networking and knowledge sharing forum for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology service providers, covering a wide range of activities including API and pharmaceutical contract manufacturing, processing, biopharma solutions, drug delivery systems, clean rooms and laboratory equipment, cold chain storage and distribution.

The conference programme, designed in partnership with leading local and regional associations, European and global media partners, offers the most up-to-date market insights into research and development, production, engineering, supply chain and quality management related topics.
