Volketswil, Switzerland:- Hapa AG will kick off its autumn season of show appearances with simultaneous exhibitions at the Labelexpo event in Brussels and at FachPack in Nuremberg.

Hapa stands at both events will showcase the innovative Swiss-based printing-system specialist’s range of high-quality printing solutions for the pharma, FMCG, cosmetics and food industries.

Labelexpo, Brussels

At Labelexpo Europe, opening September 29, Hapa, at stand A24 in hall 8 of the Brussels Expo center will feature the Hapa 862 modular UV-DOD foil and label print system with new-generation HMI. The Hapa 862, one of the industry’s most innovative systems, premiered earlier this year at Achema in Frankfurt. The UV DOD printing system prints complex graphics as well as serialized data onto foils, labels, and other roll-fed materials. The modular system is scalable and configurable integrated directly into a packaging line or near to line, roll to roll. It merges with existing processes and integrates with ERP/workflow. At the heart of the system is the newly developed UV DOD printing module “redcube plus”, itself scalable, going from one color print capacity to four spot colors or CMYK.

The new HMI user interface on the Hapa 862 is as easy to use as a smartphone and has already won iF Design and Red Dot awards for its interface and simple integration into an existing production line.

“redcube plus” inline bottle closure print solution

The Hapa display at Labelexpo will also demonstrate the new UV DOD printing module “redcube plus” ands its ability to perform five-color printing. Integrated into the IMD Closure Digital Print (CLDP) solution the “redcube plus” prints bottle closures in a CMYK plus white application with throughput of up to 1500 ppm.

The print resolution of 720 dpi, and the simple, fast, digital format and design change enables a flexible, customer-specific printing of capsules at unprecedented quality levels.

Fachpack Nuremberg

At the FachPack show, also opening September 29, the Hapa display on stand 321 in hall 3 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center will demonstrate the Universal Label Printer (Universal LP), a fully digital, UV DOD inkjet system for high-precision inset printing. Univeral LP is ideal for CMYK or spot-color applications, plus white printing on blank or preprinted roll-fed substrates, including transparent materials. The system prints web material up to 340 mm in one to six colors at a maximum speed of 54 meters per minute. Thanks to its adjustable web-tension control, printed materials leave the machine production ready. The modular concept allows for the addition of components and options, accommodating needs-based upgrades. In addition, the Universal LP has a remarkably small footprint.

DigiMATIC 220

Hapa will also bring to Nuremberg its popular off-the-shelf printer, the fully digital DigiMATIC 220 UV DOD inkjet system. The DigiMATIC 220 has proven itself highly capable for inline printing of roll-fed substrates, including aluminum foil, paper, PVC, and Tyvek, for batches of any size. Compact and robust, it can be installed on top of an intermittent packaging machine, and its operation is user friendly. Changeovers are handled without the need for tools or a cleandown while the ink cartridge system allows for fast and simple color changes.
