Formpipe’s Platina QMS Wins 1.7m SEK Life Sciences Order

Stockholm, Sweden: – An international manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) has ordered Formpipe’s groundbreaking Platina electronic quality management solution to handle and streamline its quality assurance and HSE (Health Safety and Environment) documentation.

The order, valued at 1.4 million Swedish krona (€159,000) covers installation of Platina QMS at the customer company’s Swedish site with options for additional modules and licenses to be used at other locations worldwide.

Swedish-based IT provider Formpipe says this latest client company, which cannot be named for commercial reasons, works in a highly regulated area in production of APIs and needed a system to support predefined workflows for approval and training on regulated documents.

Formpipe President and CEO, Christian Sundin, commented: “This deal shows that our Platina QMS offer is highly competitive.”

“The client selected Platina QMS following thorough evaluation of all the leading systems on the market. Initially it will use our solution to streamline and increase its management control of documents within Quality and HSE,” he explained.

“Formpipe has built up a Life Science-expertise and we can demonstrate that we understand the industry’s complex challenges when it comes to meeting regulatory and efficiency requirements,” Mr. Sundin added.

Of the total order value, Formpipe will record revenues of SEK 0.7 million (€79,000) for the fourth quarter of 2013, with associated revenue allocated throughout the contract period. Delivery revenues will be recorded during the implementation process.
