    FlexySys – Integrated Process Control

    FlexySys provides a single software platform that allows employees to manage every step of a chemical or synthetics process development. These include:

    • Laboratory reactors (integration with FlexyCUBE, Flexy ALR)
    • Thermal safety investigation (Calo2310, FlexyTSC)
    • Process control systems and pilot plant stage (FlexyPlant, Automation)

    The FlexySys operator interface provides a series of powerful user benefits, including:

    Functions

    FlexySys is based on Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows XP, with integration with MS Office Word™ and Excel™ suites. It provides a clear and user-friendly graphical user interface that guides the operator step by step through each part of the process.

    • Step 1: An intuitive plant synoptic allowing non-specialists to operate the system
    • Step 2: Standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for simple and safe operation
    • Step 3: Clear illustration of the system status allowing the operator to see total context and status for the process
    • Step 5: Automatic and continuous documentation providing total audit and verification
    • Step 6: System parameters at a glance for safety assurance

    All these applications use a common operating philosophy and synoptic screen layout in which all functions are accessed by clicking on the function keys of the relevant windows, providing complete manual experiment control.

    Automation

    FlexySys is designed to automate process development using recipe sequences, allowing manual changes to be made instantly should the need arise. The system can run in several modes: manual, recipe-controlled or parameter-controlled operation, standard reaction processes or graphical/mathematical evaluations.

    For process development, a single workstation can control up to six independent reactors. Simultaneous operation and single graphics display keeps the operator informed on the total process.

    Complete protocol is automatically generated in background in either manual or recipe modes, with MS Word templates allowing individual layouts to be created. The system automatically generates documentation including sequential progress list, continuous logging of set and actual values and lab reports.

    FlexySys architecture allows remote control from a nearby office, or from home for control purposes. SYSTAG maintenance support is available via the Internet.
